Admission Information

Entry Requirements

  • A-Levels / IB Diploma / STPM / UEC or equivalent

  • Some universities may require a Foundation Year if qualifications don’t directly match UK entry standards

Language requirements 

  • IELTS Academic: typically 6.0 – 6.5 overall (no band below 5.5 / 6.0)

  • TOEFL iBT: typically 72 – 90

  • Some universities accept alternative tests (e.g., PTE, Duolingo English Test)

Requirements to obtain a student visa

  • Unconditional offer from a UK university (CAS – Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies)

  • Proof of financial means: tuition fee for first year + living cost funds (£9,207 per year outside London, £12,006 in London)

  • Proof of English proficiency (usually IELTS or equivalent)

  • Tuberculosis test results (for certain countries)

  • Payment of Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS)

Fees

  • Tuition fees: typically £10,000 – 25,000 per year (depending on program and university)

  • Living costs: approx. £9,000 – 15,000 per year (higher in London)

Intake

  • Main intake: September / October (Autumn / Fall Semester)

  • Secondary intake: January / February (Spring Semester)

  • Some universities also offer a smaller May intake
