• Some universities may require foundation or preparatory courses depending on background

• Many programs in Switzerland are taught in English, but some require German / French / Italian depending on the canton and university

• Common requirements:

• TOEFL iBT: 80 – 100

• IELTS: 6.0 – 7.0

• For local-language tracks: B2 – C1 proficiency in German / French / Italian

Requirements to obtain a student visa

• Proof of acceptance from a Swiss university

• Proof of sufficient financial means (approx. CHF 21,000 per year)

• Valid passport and completed visa application form

• Motivation letter and study plan

• Proof of accommodation in Switzerland

Fees

• Tuition fees in Switzerland are relatively low compared to other study destinations:

  • Public universities: approx. CHF 500 – 2,000 per semester

  • Private institutions: CHF 10,000 – 30,000 per year

• Living expenses: approx. CHF 18,000 – 28,000 per year (housing, food, transport, insurance)
